ICS-Skills
ICS-Skills has just launched ‘ GET IRELAND ONLINE ’, a new initiative aiming to ensure nearly 5000 Irish people are certified with basic IT skills to prevent them from missing out on opportunities most people now take for granted. This will be running until June 2012.
We are running a nationwide campaign to encourage people to go online and to support those who need a helping hand. We thought that being Irish you would like to know more about this campaign and help us to spread the word!!
As part of the campaign we will hold a number of funded ICT training courses nationwide. Everybody will benefit from these training courses, but it is especially suitable for unemployed people, disadvantaged groups and anyone lacking in basic ICT skills. The Get Ireland Online programme aims to ensure that no one is left behind as the country gets increasingly digitally savvy.
You might know someone who wishes they could book a holiday or do their shopping online – or even contact relatives abroad using Skype etc. Well all this and more is covered in our short 3X2hr classes here at ICS Skills.
These training courses cost just €20 (usually €200) and will run weekly here at ICS Skills headquarters in Dublin city centre. For more information about the course, or to register a place for someone who could benefit from this training please contact ICS skills on 01 7753008, email training@ics.ie or check out our website www.getirelandonline.ie/learn
Finally our campaign can be followed daily on Facebook & Twitter so please stay tuned and follow us as we “Get Ireland Online” !
ICS Skills is running these courses having being selected to provide training under the BenefIT 3 scheme, which is grant aided by Government through the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources ( www.eInclusion.ie ) so do your country proud and please spread the word to your friends and family. Help someone you love to get online by telling them about our campaign.
